(Ramayana is one of them) at that time there were 04 tribes living in Sri Lanka. Kingdom lasted one thousand and five hundred years from 380BC. This city is home to many of the earliest grandest monuments of Sri Lanka. A popular destination for Sinhalese Buddhist pilgrimage because of its many ancient Buddhist monuments.

The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa the site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock, he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure —Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock. The capital and the royal palace were abandoned after the king's death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century.

Polonnaruwa
Polonnaruwa is the second most historical city in Sri Lanka. It was made the capital of Sri Lanka after Anuradhapura. The second most ancient of Sri Lanka's kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated the Chola invaders in 1070 to reunite the country once more under a local leader.

Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best-planned archaeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers. Its beauty was also used as a backdrop to film scenes for the Duran Duran music video Save a Prayer in 1982. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays her eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to, incubates in the heat of the sun. What often happens is, the eggs are dug out by fishermen and sold to people who consume them. But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and are hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas where the Birds don’t have a chance of picking them up and the babies are let into the sea after two days at night time which offers them a better chance of survival.

Madu River Safari
In the global context, the ecological importance of this site has garnered it the ‘Ramsar Wetland’ status in 2003 being the second largest wetland in Sri Lanka with a colossal 915 hectares with 23 islands inhabited by nearly 300 families. The River Sanctuary is now a Tourist Development Area and a Special Area Managed (SAM) by the Coast Conservation Department. Balapitiya is where the ‘Madu Ganga’ makes its home.

Galle Fort
The fort has a colourful history, and today has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population. The Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world. The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a cultural heritage UNESCO World Heritage Site under criteria iv, for its unique exposition of "an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

The Galle Fort, also known as the Dutch Fort or the "Ramparts of Galle", withstood the Boxing Day tsunami which damaged part of the coastal area of Galle town. It has been since restored. The Galle Fort also houses the elite Amangalla resort hotel, located near the Dutch Reformed Church. It was originally built in 1684 to house the Dutch Governor and his staff. End of the cocktail tour

  1. Haris:

We traveled to Sri Lanka with Malkan, and it was a stunning and amazing experience. We had the honor of touring some of Sri Lanka’s most breathtaking locations. The most picturesque tea factory, stunning Ravana waterfalls, an unexpected elephant ride, and a woodcraft business are among our tour guide’s additional highlights from the trip. Despite the lengthy automobile ride, Mr. Malan kept us entertained and ensured that we enjoyed the whole journey.

  2. Chadera:

In my over ten years of traveling, Sarath is without a doubt the best travel advisor I have met. I wish I could give her more stars. He is a rare gem—knowledgeable, attentive, and hardworking. He took the time to learn about our needs, gave us great options, and worked closely with me to go over every aspect for our vacation to the amazing country of Sri Lanka. He cheerfully accepted my requests for changes, made no empty promises, and was totally open and honest. I appreciate effort of Seerendipity Tours enabling this atmosphere, and I hope you continue to provide great customer service. Sarath, I want the best for you and thank you for your time. May God bless you. Strongly Suggested!

  3. Priti:

Fantastic Experience with Seerendipity for our most recent fantastic trip to Sri Lanka. I would especially like to thank sanjeewa, my tour planner, for all of his assistance. From organizing our first itinerary to choosing opulent hotels and resorts at reasonable prices, he was really helpful. My family and I really enjoyed our stays at the beachside villa and the campside in Yala. I heartily suggest Seerendipity Tours to anyone searching for a trip to Sri Lanka. When we make travel plans in the future, Go Seerendipity Tours will undoubtedly be our first choice. Finally, I must give special recognition to our tour guide. He is highly skilled, extremely knowledgeable about the area, and he helped us find many additional wonderful sites to visit, adding even more magic and memories to our journey. May God Richly Bless You!

  4. Bakers family:

We give ten out of ten to this wonderful trip! Our guide is a fountain of knowledge, a wonderful person with a lively personality, a treasure of knowledge, excellent company, and extremely skilled. He pays close attention to detail to make sure he can supply us with anything we possibly require.

  5. Nitesh:

After reading the many excellent testimonials, we made our reservation with Seerendipity tours. We are currently relishing the final day of an incredible 10-day journey. We saved a ton of time because all of our rooms were reserved in advance. Sri Lanka Additionally, Seerendipity Tours secured two safaris for us at a lower cost than we could have discovered; both safaris were incredible experiences. Everything has gone according to plan, and I am pleased to suggest this business. We are very grateful to our tour guide Ladip, sometimes known as Ladi, for going above and beyond (well, more than 1000 miles). We really appreciate your recommendations, safe driving, kind company, and local expertise. I appreciate the recollections (as well as all the special pictures). Best of luck!

  6. Gaurav:

The Sri Lanak 10 day vacation was fantastic and expertly orchestrated by Sarath and his group. The selection of resorts was excellent and the cost was reasonable. They are fair and honest in their dealings, and they provide excellent guidance.

  7. Hizzu:

We had awesome experience to explore Sri Lanka on a 7 days trip with roshan who is super friendly and jolly guy! He gave our group of four great insights of how people in Sri Lankai live and about the island’s history! He ensured that we got to see truly the gems of Sri Lanka!

  8. Chndramohan:

Excellent 7 days trip to Sri Lanka. It was our wonderful guide sarath, who made it an memorable trip for us. In addition to drive safely around Sri Lanka while taking us to many interesting tourist places around Sri Lanka, he was givng us a lot of information about hist fascinating country. the local train trip was a great experience. We visited places that were not the most common tourist attractions, but also “must see” places. Big recommendation for the Sri Lanka 7 days tour with sarath!

  9. Kyle:

Gmhan seems to be a novice and your guy, but he was very knowledgeable stopping at the key sights and giving us a real feel for his home country. I would definitely highly recommend this Sri Lanka 7 days trip.

  12. trudy Gonzales:

Such a perfect way to experience the island of Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka is a wonderful country filled with wonderful people. Chandana was the most incredible guide who loves his country so much that he makes you love it too. It was so well organised, and Chandana and the whole staff ensured we had the best time and were taken care of every step and in every way.

  13. Stephie:

We arrived in Colombo very early, but Seerendipity tours agreed to pick-up us on arrival without any additional cost and we could start our tour immediately after landing. it was a great relief to us and saves our time. We were greeted by Sam on arrival, he was nice and easy going good gentleman. He was a good guide and capable of navigating safely on Sri Lankan chaotic roads. We were extremely releaved to have taken the “hire a car with driver” decision as only after a short while in the near new 6 seater van we understood that we don’t understand the traffic rules or the lack of them nor have the patience to deal with all elements of traffic – dogs, bikes, tuk tuk, busses, cars and pedestrians in no particular order. Sam drove the 5 of us skillfully through villages and townships. He helped us to get the optional activities organised and was always punctual to pick us up the next morning. His sense of humour resonated with ours and we had a lot of laughs along the way! We can highly recommend the team of Seerendipity, as prior to the actual arrival we had good communication via WhatsApp with Sanjeewa in regards to the actual itinerary of the tour. So when actually in Sri Lanka we had a customised itinerary which made the trip a Super Experience all in all!

  14. Andrea:

Had a great 7 days Sri Lanka tour with Sri Lanka cultural sites, temples, museums, wildlife parks, tea plantations, and nice sandy beaches. Great mix of off the beaten track sites and tourist sites. Well planned sri lanka trip with a super friendy guide. Everything very well organized and fully satisfied with the service.

  15. Jeanine:

My first trip to Sri Lanka and it was terrific. Very personalized and caring service from the start to the end. Our guide Chami was very friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. We arrived in Sri Lanka during the economic downturn in Sri Lanka. But we did not feel any such economical inconveniences. We drove across various parts of Sri Lanka and travellers more than 1000 km without ant problem. The itinerary was fast-paced but thoughtfully planned and so much fun. it was both comforting and incredibly fun.

  16. ramona ingrid:

We wanted to see the historical part of Sri Lanka because we have heard that Sri Lanka had a well-developed culture. It was amazing to see what the ancient people built in Sri Lanka. The trip includes hundreds of temples and ancient monuments. But this 7 days tour offers much more than that. beaches, wildlife, tea gardens and a lot more. wonde3rful Sri Lanka trip, really enjoyed it. Our guide Gihan was excellent and very helpful, we enjoyed the trip a lot.

  17. Fritz Yung:

    Good tour

  18. Sneha Chakrabarti:

Great highlights of many beautiful parts of Sri Lanka! we came away with a new level of awareness and education about Sri Lanka’s history and culture. We always felt very safe and had a very memorable experience, despite the many prevailing problems in Sri Lanka.

  19. Aarongen:

Excellent program for a big family like us (8 people), the tour has an excellent blend of places to see and activities. Ancient temple, waterfalls, wildlife tours, trekking, and leisurely stroll on the beach are some of the great things to do. Chami, our guide was very nice and easy going person. He tolerated all the mischievous activities of your young kids. Good hotels, vehicles and delicious food.

7 days Sri Lanka was short and snappy trip, filled with amazing monuments, temples, cities and with wonderful people! Prasad the guide provides a plethora of information and will show you everything from the best food to try to how the Sri Lanka ancient artisans colored more than 1500 years old paintings with natural color. It is an amazing trip if you’re short on time or if you are planning on spending more time in other parts of Sri Lanka. I had an amazing time, and am planning to return again!

  22. Brendon Gal:

This trip provided me and my family with everything we wanted and more – discovery of the major tourist attractions and in-depth discussion of history and culture, all in a span of 1 week! Gihan was a fantastic leader who took good care of us and readily shared his expertise, even to matters that are personal to him (wedding customs etc.). I will never forget this trip!

  23. Ruphin choi:

We are fan of package tours and always book entire thing through a tour operator. The local company did a wonderful job by organizing a very interesting trip for us. They have chosen good hotels, vehicle and excellent driver/guide

  24. Nelson:

Fantastic Sri Lanka trip, full of activities

  25. Kemali Munsinghe:

  26. KUmara Peiris:

A fantastic Sri Lanka trip and includes most important places of the island. A good balance of different experiences! Highly reccomended. Our tour guide Silva was absolutely brilliant!

  27. Rehana meer:

Excellent Sri Lanka trip, thoroughly enjoyed it, everything was perectly organized. Itinerary was busy but had a good mix of some leisure time in between. Travelled with an amazing private guide and he was well aware of the safety protocl to be followed. Our guide was excellent, he made the trip unforgettable. I will never forget his lovely smile and giggle. Thank you Seerendipity.

  28. Rayomand nelson:

We had an amazing Sri Lanka private family trip. Loved visitng ancient monuments, te gardens, walking, and glamping nightwith kids. Our tour guide, Gayan, really went the extra mile with everything, even organising a surprise birthday party for my youngest kid in a beach restaurant,- with cake, balloons and fireworks! We felt very safe during teh trip and even we have forgotten the COVID-19 pandemic.

  29. Kim aigene:

Our first trip after long rest due to COVID-19. Instead of the lazy holiday, book and sit in a Hotel for a week, we wanted to get out and see bit of Sri Lanka on a private tour, and enjoy, the Culture, wildlife, nature, and most importantly the Food.

  30. Loisa:

Sri Lankan was promised as the land like no other which proved to be 100% accurate. A truely beautiful country and the friendliest most welcoming people we have ever experienced.

  31. Emogen Chong:

Seerendipity is a perfect local company that does not rip off your wallet. This entire private tour with the luxury vehicle would have cost twice as much as what I paid for Seerendipity if I booked in my home country. Well organised tour guides who know and understand all aspects of this country’s many communities. The opportunity to be part of the everyday life of the locals was the best experience for me. Travel, accommodation, food and safety all addressed.

  32. Renate orlando:

The country is small but has an unprecedented diversity. The cocktail tour was amazing! I can’t recommend it too highly – we had so many different and delightful sights, activities, tastes and experiences.

  33. Gayan:

This trip was fantastic. Hotels are still largely empty and did not see many tourists in popular tourist places. Gamini was our personal driver/guide and he was an excellent tour guide. If you’re considering it, do it.

  34. Victor gabriel:

It was fantastic with food distribution for the little ones. But I felt sorry for the little ones, however, I felt happy because I have done something to make them happy. It was the main highlight for me on this trip. Thank you for giving me such a nice experience. Excellent trip with a very knowledgeable guide, worth every penny.

  35. Julie shenaya:

An absolute must. Great way to see the main sights of Sri Lanka but also includes many things you would never know about/be able to do by yourself

  36. Leonard:

Good trip but rain bothered us a lot. If it had been less rain we could have enjoyed more. Good hotels, guide, vehicle.

  37. Menduls allam:

Excellent trip and worth for money.

  38. James neumann:

What is a lack in this 7 days trip is leisure, there is a lot of sightseeing, and tourist attractions but very limited time to relax on the beach

  39. Mehaun Para:

Our trip to Sri Lanka was much, much more than we ever expected! Beautiful people, amazing places and the food is a curry lovers dream. I can’t recommend our trip enough! It was interesting to see the people are strictly adhering to COVOD-19 health rules.

The driver tried to rip-off our wallet by charging extra for the Kandyan cultural show, but we opposed it and later he gave up his malicious intention. It was part of the trip.

  47. Meenar Usman:

I had an awesome time with a cocktail tour! The food, scenery, culture and people were amazing and everyone was so hospitable! It’s definitely worth doing.

We did not want to visit temples during the trip because they asked us to remove the headcover. But we were not given back what we paid for the entrance tickets of those temples.

  49. Oliveier oburchowski:

An excellent trip for a family, our kids enjoyed a lot. There are many interesting activities for kids like watching animals, running in parks, exploring tea country, boating in Nuwara Eliya. An excellent and enjoyable trip. The vehicle was fantastic, clean, modern and perfect air-conditioning, the hotels were all to a good standard, and the guide was a star. Sri Lanka is a lush tropical paradise, and well worth a visit. The people are all friendly, the food and drink is cheap, and the sun always shines. Plus it’s full of loads of old stuff. What more could you want?

  94. Ameer gupta:

This trip is a great introduction to visiting the country for the first time. Friendly people, great food and stunning sights, from tea plantations to beach sunsets (no filter needed). Our driver/guide Thilan was fantastic. I just returned from Sri Lanka a couple of days ago, and would definitely return.
