Itineraries
Day 1
Time : 6:00 am
Colombo / Pinnawala / Kandy
Meet and greet by Serendipity Tours representative and drive to Kandy, Enroute Pinnawala elephant orphanage and Royal Botanical Garden. Royal Botany Garden After the elephant orphanage visits the Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya, which is the most popular garden on the island with an orchid house, palm alley, bamboo avenue, spice garden, flowering plant collection and verandah collection. KANDY Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan monarchy, which was ceded to the British administration in 1815. Finally, it was ceded to them by the Chieftains of Kandy, who were disappointed over the king’s cruel deeds. Today, Kandy is one of the most important cities owing to the presence of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth of the Buddha. Visit the Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy and enjoy a typical Sri Lankan cultural show of drumming, dancing music and firewalking. PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the foster home of elephants of different ages and sizes feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the foster home of elephants of different ages and sizes feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. The Jumbos living at Pinnawala elephant orphanage are found in the jungle with injuries, and some of them are abandoned in the jungle. Since its inception, dozens of babies have been born in the orphanage. OPTIONAL: ELEPHANT SAFARI/RRIDE The Elephant Safari (At Village) has become a highlight event for tourists for its excitement and adventure or even for the “Chance of a Lifetime” of riding an elephant. The Elephant Safari is a ride on an elephant with a safely secured seat that takes around one hour. The ride takes you through the jungle and village and even crosses a part of the paddy field. TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC The tooth relic temple, also known as Dalada Maligawa in the native language, houses the left eyetooth of Buddha, and it’s one of the most important tourist attractions as well as the most sacred Buddhist temple on the island. There are a few thousand Buddhist religious sites on the island, but none of them can surpass its fame as a sacred site; it is the Mecca of Sri Lankan Buddhists. The temple is located in the world heritage site of Kandy, which is also the cultural center of the island. NATIONAL MUSEUM The Kandy National Museum, opened in 1942, is located next to the sacred Temple of the Tooth and is housed in a section of the Royal Palace where the King’s concubines resided. This museum has over 5000 objects on display, and among the most impressive exhibits are King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe II's golden crown and a copy of the 1815 treaty known as the ‘Kandyan Convention’ by which, on March 2, 1815, Ceylon ceded to the British, ending 2,357 years of monarchy. ARTS AND CRAFT CENTER Arts and crafts are an integral part of Sri Lanka’s ancient cultural heritage. Traditional Sri Lankan crafts are vital industries in many parts of the island that include wood carving, mask making, drum making, mat weaving, handlooms, lacwork, rush and read products, etc. THE ROYAL PAACE The last king to reside in the Royal Palace was King Sri Wickrama Rajasinhe until he was overthrown by the British in 1815 with the aid of Kandyan chieftains. Once part of a large palace complex that included the Raja Wasala (King’s Palace), Magul Maduwa (Royal Audience Hall), Meda Wasala (Queens’ Palace), Palle Wasala (King’s Harem Quarters), and Ulpange (Queen’s Bathing Pavilion), together with the Temple of the Tooth. AUDIENCE HALL The ‘Magul Maduwa’, a finely carved masterpiece in timber, is where the king met his ministers and carried out his daily administrative tasks. Many historic events have taken place at this location, and it was here that the British handed over the death sentences to the Sri Lankan national heroes Keppatipola Disave and Madugalle Disave. A replica of the Royal Audience Hall of Kandy was constructed in granite in Colombo in 1948 to commemorate Sri Lanka’s independence from the British. Kandyan Cultural Show The Cultural Dance Show. Sri Lanka's culture is so closely connected to dance and drama, and no function will be complete without displaying a dance or even a drama. As a multi-ethnic land, Sri Lanka boasts of a rich conflux of dance and drama. The two main ethnic groups share two spectacular dance and drama traditions, which enrich the fame Sri Lanka has gained in this sphere. Activities for the dayVisiting Pinnawala elephant orphanage, Kandyan cultural show, Kataragama Devala, Gem Museum, Downtown Kandy, Tea Center, Silk Factory, Handicraft Center, Royal botanical garden, Temple of the tooth relic, audience hall, museum, royal palace... Overnight stay in Kandy...
Day 2
Time : 6:30 am
Kandy / Dambulla / Sigiriya / Colombo
After breakfast, leave for Colombo via Sigiriya and Dambulla; en route, visit the spice garden, Dambulla golden temple and Sigiriya Rock. SPICE GARDEN Visit a spice garden at Matale where spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication are grown. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early seafaring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise. GOLDEN CAVE TEMPLE DAMBULLA
In the 1st century BC, the king of Anuradhapura fled the city due to a South Indian invasion and took refuge in the caves of Dambulla. On recapturing Anuradhapura after 13 years, the king converted the caves into a monastery and gifted them to the Buddhist monks. SIGIRIYA ROCK A prince of the 5th century who committed patricide made the rock of Sigiriya his hideout in order to stay away from his half-brother who sought vengeance. This prince, Kasyappa by name, not only fortified his stronghold but also added to its artistic beauty. (declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO). The name "Sigiriya" refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 feet) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle, the Culavamsa, the site was selected by King Kasyapa (477–495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock, he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure—Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock. The capital and the royal palace were abandoned after the king's death. It was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. MINNIERIYA SAFARI This will include a safari tour by jeep with a jungle tracker, where you can see animals in the jungle, including elephants, bears, wild boars, deer, buffalo, Monkeys and many other animals (if you are lucky, leopards too). Return to Habarana. TEA FACTORY
Visit a tea plantation and a tea factory en route. Sri Lanka is famous for its “Ceylon Tea," which has added cheers to many the world over for more than a century.
End of the Tour.

Due to the fact that we did not have a lot of time to spend on a sightseeing trip in Sri Lanka, we decided to go with the Sri Lanka two days tour. In our case, it was the perfect program. This was a brief journey, but it was crammed to the brim. A number of fascinating locations, such as the Sigiriya rock and cave temple, as well as national parks, gorgeous countryside, and attractive cities, were among the places that we visited. It was quite simple to book the vacation, and everything was arranged precisely how the traveler desired it to be.
Cladius– :
Ladip is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide who showed us a lot of interesting places and things in Sri Lanka other than what was planned in the program. You can tell him what topics you are particularly interested in and he will tailor the excursion to you. The price of the trip is very reasonable, and well worth. Highly recommended.

Oliver– :
I arranged a visit to pidurangala with My driver/guide Guna and had a great time, he spoke great English & we had a right good laugh on the journey. He didn’t climb the rock with me which I didn’t mind but he provided an expert on the site and did not have to pay for anything other than the entrance ticket. He told me all about the history of sigariya & dambulla and even stopped to buy me a coconut after my hike. He is a good driver & I felt safe with him at all times. Ask for Guna when booking, you won’t be disapointed 😊
Pamela– :
We booked several routes with this company: Colombo to Galle and back, Colombo to tea plantations, Ella. They have good prices and the services they offer can make your trip to Sri Lanka extraordinary. Also, we had the most patient and helpful driver: dina. He gave us the best insights for this country: how to avoid tourist traps, where to eat, where to buy stuff at the best prices, what are the perfect hous for visiting attractions in order to avoid crowds, etc.

We had a very positive experience with this driver shantha from Seerencipity. He was prompt to collect us from our Colombo Hotel and his car was immaculately clean. shantha drive us to Sigaria and stopped along the way if we required to take pictures, visit a spice garden, purchase water etc. He patiently waited for us at Sygaria whilst we climbed the rock and drive us back to the hotel. They also provide competent tour guides at each site, we did not expect it but, they are highly knowledgable of the site.
Minas mohammad– :
At the end of the trip don’t forget to have a good rest, because you travel a lot during the 2 days.
Amy– :
Our family of 5 had the pleasure of spending 2days with Silva and a very competent driver – which is what you need in Sri Lanka. We were picked up from our hotel in Colombo and spent a wonderful 2days exploring the caves, temple, elephant orphanage and ruins. We opted for the elephant safari to cater for our young family and our daughters still talk about this day and the enjoyment they experienced. We also arranged all of our transport around Sri Lanka with this company and I can vouch that they are, not only very competitive with their pricing, they just made it easy to get around. I highly recommend Seerendipity.
On security point of bview Sri Lanka is fully safe.

Joshim Albaram– :
Excellent trip to see the ancient places of Sri Lanka and it cover most important hsirorical monuments
Janette– :
The tour includes many optional activities and we did all of them, even though it became fully packed 2 days. Minneriya National Park was fantastic, I can not describe how amazing it was. We had the best 2 days of our lives & truly once in a life time. We were picked up at early from our hotel and went to Dambulla temples which were stunning- must see. Sirigiya Rock is a harder climb for older people but it was so worth it and phenomenal history behind it all. We have a driver- sameera- he went out of his way to do extra for us, offering to stop at more temples and anywhere else we wanted to go if our time allowed it. We were so comfortable with him and he was always explaining everything and going out of his way to make it an amazing day for us, we can’t thank him enough!
Highly recommend this 2 day trip, although it’s a long drive it’s a way to see everything and have an AMAZING once in a life time experience.
