This waterfall measures approximately 25 m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. During the local wet season, the waterfall turns into what is said to resemble an areca flower with withering petals. But this is not the case in the dry season when the flow of water reduces dramatically. The falls form part of the Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary and are located 6 km (3.7 mi) away from the local railway station.

Ella
The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Ella is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. The difficulty level of Whitewater rafting in Kitulgala is rated as 4. I especially enjoyed going to the rainforests and the national parks. We were able to enjoy our trip without the worry of organizing transport, tips/entry tickets or safety issuses which would have been stressful to organize in these locations. 18. helens tompe:

This nature tour provides a unique way to experience nature of Sri Lanka. Trekking, hiking, walking, driving through the woods, forests, national parks, plantation and villages enabled us to see the natural wealth of Sri Lanka. Some of the small villages and towns that we wouldn’t usually see on a bus tour. Our tour Guide Silva was excellent. he is an experienced tour leader and has very good knowledge, approachable and punctual. I highly recommend this tour. Economical trip, though the local company has provided very good service with good hotels, vehicles, and delicious meals.

  19. Adil Poriya:

I did the nature tour of Sri Lanka. It was a short 5 days trip but it definitely was one of the most adventurous, interesting and mindblowing trips I ever did. Our tourguide, Gihan, was outstanding! He knows so much about Sri Lanka, its nature, culture and people. I thought the trip exclusively planned with natural attraction but there were few interesting cultural monuments also included in the package and it was good. We visited so many interesting places such as wildlife parks, primieval rainforests, adventure sites, which I will remember forever. I will never forget all these wonderful impressions I gained during this trip and definitely recommend it to everyone!

  20. Kamladeen :

I was disappointed with few things of this trip such as tour guide and places stopped for shopping.

  21. Reter:

A wonderful trip, well organised. So good to have a tour guide, felt safe.

  22. Sherryl:

I took the trip just after relaxing COVID-19 rules in Sri Lanka, but I was well aware that there were very tough rules and regulations to curb spread of Covid-19. But surprisingly, as a tourist it did not made any impact on our tour. All sites we vsited were open and time schedules were properly planned by the local company. It was perfectly planned. Ver few travllers everywhere and sometimes no travllers at all. Excellent guide very caring service. All hotels are good and follow the COVID-19 rules and regulations.

  23. Elisa:

Sometimes the reality of the trip does not match the description. It is very cold in the mountains and the hotel did not provide proper heating. We had to drive a lot during the trip, sometimes with very few things to see. We did not get to see the most interesting parts at the end of the tour because it was abruptly cancelled due to COVID-19. In short, my worst traveling experience anywhere in the world.

  24. Rushman :

This trip is unbelievable value and visits fantastic places, perfect trip for a nature lover. Our group was consiting of 10 people and everythign was perfectly organized by the local company. Most importantly the guide was superb with highly professional service. Accommodation is basic, which we all accepted as it is a value trip, but rooms were very clean all the time, good food.

  25. Gelam:

Due to COVID-19 many countries have closed their borders, but Sri Lanka is still open as they have not felt the shock yet. So I thought it was safe going there. The other thing I wanted to see the natural beauty of a tropical island. we had one of the best travel experiences we have ever had.

  26. Rochelle:

Fun quick trip where I got to experience a lot of fun different aspects of Sri Lanka. The tour guide was great and transportation went really well. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially if traveling alone.

  27. Erena:

This nature tour is one of the best trips we ever had, it provides a unique way to experience the beautiful nature, the island is truly fantastic. The tour is full of interesting activities and I love all of them, trekking, hiking, walking, bird watching, water rafting, etc. I don’t think that there is any other better trip package to experience the beauty of Sri Lanka’s nature. Goof food, accommodation, guide and service. All accommodation was carefully chosen while accommodations very close to the places where the activities are planned.

  29. Gina Calosa :

this is a very well organised tour with Mathisha with plenty of fun-filled activites and laughter along the way

  30. Freddy Rompas:
