End of the tour

  1. Carens:

A few less temples and shopping, along with perhaps a few more time on the beach, might have made for a better tour, but overall, we had a great time in Sri Lanka and thoroughly appreciated the amazing 8 days program. Good accommodation, transport, guiding and Meals too.

  2. Romiel:

The excursion was precisely as planned, and we had just completed the walk prior to the deluge; Kamal, our guide, was exceptionally kind and accommodating.

  3. Valmer:

The trip was quite interesting, and the most essential thing is that it is a private tour. We skipped a lot of tourist attractions and instead chose to have leisure time, which was amazing. The trip was very well planned with nice, safe hotels and good food.

  4. Martina:

Wonderful Sri Lanak trip with a very helpful guide

  5. Julie:

The 8-day trip was just amazing! Because I had never done anything similar to this before, I was unsure of what to anticipate, but I am so happy that I decided to book the trip with serendipity tours. I was taken aback to see such a large number of tourists from other countries in Sri Lanka. Nearly all of the hotels that we went to were completely occupied.
Every single one of the hotels was of a high quality, it was clean and safe, it had a fantastic car, and the guide was really kind and knowledgable. Victor was an excellent tour guide who possessed a wealth of knowledge regarding the nation, its people, its culture, and the majority of other aspects of the country. I shall always hold dear the memories that I collected on my journey.

  6. Rumy:

Just got back from an eight-day trip in Sri Lanka. It was a great trip, and I would suggest Sri Lanka in general… As a private tour in a nice car, the trip was very relaxed and gave everyone the most privacy possible. Chamith, our driver/guide, showed us the places very well. Bring some pens for the kids you meet while walking…

  7. Fred Thomas:

What a wonderful experience it was to drive this nation with Chameera at the helm!
He definitely has extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka, including its interiors and exteriors, as well as how to navigate it. He can maneuver past buses, dogs, elephants, and tooks with the horn like a pro. His driving gave us a great sense of security and safety. Well done, sir. Thank you.
I also submitted a review for the actual tour that we went on. I heartily advise using Seerendipity tours to arrange your travel and excursions in Sri Lanka.

  8. Victor Jim Yong:

Our chance to find the 8-day tour of Sri Lanka was through the serendipity website. We then called them on WhatsApp. We got in touch with them just a few weeks before our trip. They answer questions quickly and are very helpful. They changed some of the plans and made the tour unique for us. Our tour guide, Rohan, showed them all the places I had written down and was always on time. He told us a lot of useful things, which made our trip fun and interesting. If you want to have an amazing trip to Sri Lanka, this 8-day tour is the way to go.

  9. Elsam Ali:

Simply Sri Lanka is a great trip for a first time to Sri Lanka! Great itinerary which is a mix between intense city days and chilled days by the sea. A great local organization which gave us a good discount upon hearing that we are foreign diplomats, working in Colombo. Still, not much travellers on the way, even the lockdown restrictions are fully withdrawn.

  10. Minoli silva:

Simply Sri Lanka was an amazing trip with a great range of different activities, accommodation and exposure to sociocultural experiences. Even as a sri lankan citizen, I find it very interesting

  11. Ram Prakash:

Excellent trip! Well organised! Lots of smiley people and great food! Traveled with the family. Yes the lights cut out for an hour or so. One of the showers took a little getting use to. But didn’t spoil the trip in any way All part of of the journey. Local tour guide saman was excellent! Great trip!

  12. Ishita rahman:

Seerendipity is an amazing, professional & inspiring local travel company. It was super easy to book the trip with them. 35. Tara:

My husband and I travelled to Sri Lanka with the sole goal of discovering a non-touristy side of the island. We wanted to experience the real life and see a real thing, that’s why we booked the trip with a local operator. The people associated with local company are from SriLanka, and they know their country. For the 8 days trip in Sri Lanka we had Jaya as our guide.. I gotta say that this was one of the best tours we’ve ever had. He was an incredibly knowledgeable, interesting, friendly, engaging, & entertaining guide. His love for his country is visible in every move. I must say he knowns the stuff very well. His stories were fascinating. It wasn’t a one-way street though. There was a conversation going for the entire 8 days of the tour. We talked about everything – religion, wildlife, life, art, history, politics, etc. It felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. When our official tour was over, jaya stayed with us for another couple hours showing us amazing art galleries. That generosity of the heart is what Sri Lanka is all about. In the end we were saying goodbyes to a friend. We will definitely recommend Jaya to all of our friends traveling to Sri Lanka.

  36. Jacky:

The 8 days tour with roshan was exceptionally good. He was very knowledgeable, he explained a lot about history, culture, religion, nature, wildlife and we learnt a lot. We visited a large number of temples, memorials, historical buildings, museums. He pointed out inscriptions, stumble blocks, told stories, shared history all in a very sensitive way. We had a brilliant time with roshan, learnt a lot and I would definitely recommend booking this trip.

Incredible seerendipity! We had the most amazing adventure with Seerendipity and would like to personally thank our friendly guide Sudesh for giving us an amazing opportutnity to explore Sri Lanka. He was our guide for two weeks and he did a fantastic job. It was our first time in Sri Lankan and south Asia and we would not have had the same Sri Lankan experience if it wasn’t for Sudesh and the brilliant tour organized by Seerendipity. The optional Village tour with cooking class was very special and the it was very well planned to give us best experince, I love the rural setting with paddy fields, lakes, jungle and cozy small houses. We have many happy memories of meeting the wonderful people in the villages we visited, especially the beautiful, happy smiling children.

  54. Romano mazil:

Early morning rise almost every day during the trip; however, we had plenty of time in the beach resort. We visited a large number of cultural places, historical monuments and temples. It is interesting to know that many thousands of years building are still well preserves. Nice beaches with snow white, clean sand. Plenty of chances for diving, snorkeling, surfing, water sport. However, we were bit short of time for it as we had to leave for Male next day. Tour guide was excellent.

  55. Brendon Karl:

Tour was very good. We covered a lot of ground in Sri Lanka and travellers nearly thousands kilometers. The tour was bit strenuous sometimes with travelling and walking in tourist sites. However, it was interesting. Gantha was very nice tour guide and gave us plenty of time to relax.

Early morning start but vehicle broke down so couldn’t be picked up from our hotel so was contacted and requested to catch a cab across town. That was all good and I was reimbursed for the taxi ride. Nice driver and tour guide. Fantastic tour itinerary and it was very suitable private tour for a family. We did not take a tour for a long time due to the pandemic, however, this trip to Sri Lana was fantastic. After a long time we enjoyed our holiday a lot. Sri Lanka is also of nature (wildlife and Flora). We had one of the best safari in our life. Guide was excellent and tour was very well planned.

  59. Alex babu:

I like when guides share the country history and information about where we are driving as we go. Chami was very informative. Despite the pandemic there was a lot touristy than I expected. My advice would be follow the health guidelines as much as possible. However, all hotels and tourist sites follows the protocols introduced by the health authorities, we felt very safe. Over all experience is very good.

  60. Anita:

  63. mendis:

We ventured on the trip a few days before the starts of the second wave of COVID-19. however, the hotels and tourist sites are still empty. only a few local travellers can be seen on the way. Very good for local travellers and hotels are giving extremely attractive discounts. Very good Sri Lanka trip with a bit of everything, busy metropolis cities, laid-back countryside, ancient monuments, wildlife parks, pristine forests, hill country and pristine beaches. You get to see a large part of Sri Lanka. Our guide Kusum was excellent, knowledgeable and passionate and bought the experience to life. I highly recommend this itinerary.

Excellent trip itinerary covering off an introduction to Srilanka. Includes modern cities, ancient monuments, hill country resorts, uncrowded wildlife parks, smaller towns and villages, and several modes of transport, so people feel like they have seen and experienced a good chunk of this tropical nationa. Great stress free way to see the country.

  88. Ludwig rude:

The company organized the cost-free pick up from our beach on the south coast, otherwise, it could have been an expensive transfer for us. Very interesting trip with a fascinating mix of culture, nature, wildlife and many more.

  89. Binoy Tank:

This 8 days Sri lanka trip is excellent for those new to Sri Lanka and combines so many different elements of Srilanka in one short week- amazing temples, forts, stupas, and palaces, quiet rural villages, the bumpy ride through the pristine forest of Udawalawe national park and the history of Galle and Kandy as well, with lots of different places to stay (wonderful hotels). Sri Lanka is a place of such contrasts, I felt like we got a glimpse into the real Sri Lanka on this tour, while still taking in the major tourist sites we really couldn’t miss. The food throughout the trip was excellent, we didn’t get sick at all and our personal driver/guide Kusum was funny and very organized. It made travel (on so many types of transport) a breeze. Take hand sanitizer, earplugs, a warm jacket if visiting in winter (Nuwara Eliya quite cold in Jan/ Feb) and a sense of adventure and you’ll have a great time. Our only downside to this trip was the fact we didn’t get to see a leopard at Yala NP, but we did see herds of elephants, crocodiles, monkeys and indian deer, so all is not lost of the tigers are playing hard to find.

  90. Edward:

A great trip that is jam packed with activities for one week. You see a lot of Sri Lanka in one week and I only wish I was staying here for longer. Be ready to be exhausted at the end of your trip. The tour guides are amazing and you learn so much from them.

  91. Brenda F:

Seerendipity is a cultural and environmentally friendly company oozing in local knowledge. I’ve travelled alone and with my daughter and love the authenticity of seerendipity.

  92. Olivier obuchowski:

It is a pity we had only a few hours in Negombo, such a nice beach. However, the overall experience was very good with Rohan (our driver guide).

  93. Gina bass:

I would highly recommend this trip. Our guide, Kusum was excellent. Most of the days were jam packed if you do all the optional activities but still a little bit of down time towards the end. I felt like we got to experience some of the true culture but also see the important tourist bits. Accommodation was better than expected.

  94. Alisan Bishek:

Amazingly hospitable people, pity about enhanced security checks but understandable, it won’t sort out political dissent, only debate and discussion may

  95. Edward:

    Good trip

  96. Mahmood abbas:

    Excellent trip with proper planing

  97. Johnson S:

  105. Anddre pearson:

Simply srilanka offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the most important historical places of Sri Lanka and many of them are UNESCO world heritage sites. The places that we visited on this 8 days trip has an amazing mix of cultures and traditions that represent the great variety and complexity of the Srilanka culture. In just 8 days this srilanka trip will take you from the busy streets of old Colombo and on to magnificent sigiriya rock . Moving on travelers will touch waterfalls, tea gardens, mountains, wildlife parks and beaches and wonderful bazaars of Kandy that are especially distinguished for its precious stones….

  106. Farid Rizvi:

Hill clountry train tip is definitely an experience. This trip is not a holiday destination but a way to experience this fascinating country.

  107. Salem fronteddu:

A very poor trip. We did not feel safe during the ride, it was driven too fast. We were on a family trip with just 5 people, we got a mini-van, which had too small seats. Very exhausting and we got sick. Hotels are except the first hotel, where the room was bit old.

  108. Zelanika rode:

Very interesting trip and it feels like someone had stolen our time because we did not even feel that we have spent 8 days in Sri Lanka.

  109. Ronnie gerhard:

  112. Brendon joyce:

This was our first trip to Srilanka and simply srilanka was brilliant we saw many fascinating things and our driver/guide Kamal ensured we experienced true srilanka , we felt safe on all occasions making sure we dined at places that were clean and good value.

  113. Prateek Ingram:

Each day it was difficult to see how they could keep the standard up, it was excellent. A varied insight into cultural triangle, hill country, beachess…the list goes on, local life and transport as well as the iconic sights and experiences. All aided by an excellent driver/guide.

  114. Gabriele:

Good trip and lots to see. Lots of free time though. Good accommodation with delicious food . wildlife safari, boat tour and the cooking lesson were the highlights

  115. Kasim polen:

Many thanks to the Seerendipity team for our wonderfully enjoyable and informative Sri Lanka Tour. We really got to engage with the locals thanks to our fantastic guide whose knowledge and passion for promoting his country and sharing its wonders was inspiring. Our MANY meals of rice with curries was amazing and even the accommodation which was, at times, a little up and down it was certainly value for money!. I would highly recommend this trip to many others especially those with reasonable fitness and a search for adventure!

This Sri Lanka trip was a little disappointing, some places mentioned in the itinerray were far to reach just to sleep there, the accommodation were beyond basic and good food, and service. Very comfortable vehicle with the well knowledgeable driver/guide.
